How to block spam messages on Viber

Continuously receiving advertising messages, spam messages from strange phone numbers or being constantly harassed by people who do not have feelings in your contacts makes you uncomfortable and sometimes angry. There is a way to put an absolute end to this and ensure effectiveness.

How to block Viber spam messages on iPhone, iPad

Block a specific person

Step 1: Open the conversation with the person you want to block up, click on the Name you chat (as shown in the picture), select Chat Info & Settings . Scroll down and tap Block this contact. This will block all communications of that person, including messages, calls.

Step 2: Immediately blocking notification appears, if you want to unblock just click Unblock. Or also go to Info & Chat settings, scroll down and select Unblock this contact.

Block Viber messages in bulk

Step 1: When you want to mass block, block multiple people at the same time, click the 3-dot icon in the bottom right corner of the main screen, select Settings> Privacy> Block list .

Step 2: Interface Block list that appears, click Add contact , then tick the box next to the name of the circle you want to block, you can select multiple people at once. Once done, tap Done to finish. In this block list, if you want to unblock someone, you need to click Unblock next to that person's name.

How to block Viber spam messages on Android

Block a specific person

Step 1: Access Viber, open the spam message to view normally, then click the 3 vertical dots icon in the top right corner of the screen, select Chat info . Scroll down and tap Block this contact to no longer receive spam messages from this phone number.

Step 2: Immediately, a notification appears that the contact is now blocked, if you want to unblock, just click Unblock . Or go to Chat info , scroll down and tap Unblock this contact.

Block Viber messages in bulk

Step 1: If you want to block contacts in bulk, block multiple numbers at the same time, just go back to the main interface, click the 3-dash icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. Then select Settings> Privacy> Block list.

Step 2: In the Block list window, it will list all blocked numbers ever. If you want to block a new phone number, click the + icon in the top right corner of the screen, select the contact to block, then tap the tick icon . When you want to unblock a phone number, just press the Unblock button next to that phone number.
