What is BRAVIA Sync?
BRAVIA Sync is a sync connection that allows users to connect between the TV and other Sony devices. Thanks to that, it allows users to turn on or off with all devices connected to each other with just a single button. In addition, you can also control connected devices via the Sony remote control. BRAVIA Sync feature will help users to operate more easily, providing a fast and convenient experience.
BRAVIA Sync-compatible devices are connected with HDMI cable (eg player, amplifier ...) or via MHL cable (eg smartphone, tablet), you can control on the TV's remote control.
Not only television, but also on staging / player, Sony also integrates BRAVIA Sync such as Sony BDV-E6100 5.1 channel , Sony BDV-N9200W, Sony BDV-N9200WL, ...
How to use BRAVIA Sync Sync Connection
First, what you need to do is connect the devices that need to be in sync
Step 1: Boot the devices you want to connect to.
Step 2: Press the HOME button, then go to [Settings] and select [External Inputs] - [BRAVIA Sync Settings] - [BRAVIA Sync Control] - [On].
Step 3: Turn on BRAVIA Sync on the connected device.
When the BRAVIA Sync-compatible device opens, if the [BRAVIA Sync Control] item is already set to [On], BRAVIA Sync is automatically activated on that device. At this point, you do not need to re-install connection.
Note
+ If [BRAVIA Sync Control] is set to [Off], the connected device will not turn off automatically when the TV is turned off.
+ Similarly, if [BRAVIA Sync Control] is set to [Off], the TV will not turn on automatically when the connected device is turned on.
+ If [BRAVIA Sync Control] is set to [On], the TV input will automatically switch to the corresponding device connected with the MHL cable.
+ If [BRAVIA Sync Control] is changed to [On], the connected MHL device (such as smartphone, tablet) can also be charged while the TV is in standby mode.
Use Sync Menu
To use the Sync Menu, do the following:
For traditional remote: Press the SYNC MENU button, then select the desired item in the Sync Menu. For touch remote: Press the ACTION MENU button, then select [Sync Menu] - the desired item in the Sync Menu.
Note:
If you press the SYNC MENU button, the advertisement screen will be displayed in the following cases:
Case 1: HDMI or MHL device is not connected.
Case 2: [BRAVIA Sync Control] item in Settings has been changed to [Off].
Operations available with BRAVIA Sync connected devices:
Blu-ray / DVD player
+ Ability to automatically turn on Blu-ray / DVD player and convert the input of Sony TV to Blu-ray / DVD player when you select the device from Home Menu or Sync Menu.
+ Automatically turns on the TV and switches the input to the connected Blu-ray / DVD player when the Blu-ray / DVD player starts playing.
+ Automatically turns off the connected device when you turn off the TV.
+ You can control and select channel of Blu-ray / DVD player with Sony TV remote.
Amplifiers (AV amplifier)
+ Automatically turn on the amplifier and switch the audio output from the TV speaker to the audio system when you turn on the TV.
Note
This function is only available if you have previously used an amplifier (sound amplifier) to output TV sound.
+ Automatically turn off the amplifier when you turn off the TV.
+ Adjust the volume (VOL + / VOL - buttons) and mute (MUTE) of the amplifier through the Sony TV remote control.
A camera
Automatically turns the TV on and switches the Sony TV's input to the connected camcorder when the camcorder is turned on
+ Automatically turns off the connected video camera when you turn off the TV.
+ The ability to control and select the channel of the video camera with the Sony TV remote.
Note:
“BRAVIA Sync control” (BRAVIA Sync) is only for connected BRAVIA Sync-compatible devices that bear the BRAVIA Sync logo.
