Video How to set up and disable Family Sharing on Steam
Steam Family Sharing is a feature that allows users to share games in their Steam accounts to other family members or friends. This is a big "push" for Valve into the game market, thanks to which we can play the latest blockbuster games without having to spend money to buy as before.
Of course, this feature still has its own limitations, such as:
Only shared with up to 5 people.
Two people cannot play the same game at the same time.
When the person being shared intervenes in the game such as cheating, cheat ... then you will be affected or responsible.
Step 1 : Launch Steam on your computer and log in your Steam account, select Steam / Settings .
Step 2 : Select Next to Family and observe the Authorize Library Sharing on this Computer.
If this list does not appear, you can tick the box next to activate, then select who to share the game with them in the list shown below.
Step 3 : Finally, you exit your account so that the shared person can play.
Disable Steam Family Sharing
To cancel sharing game on Steam, you only need to do the opposite, as follows:
Settings / Family / Manage Other Computers
A list of authorized computers (Steam accounts) you share will appear. To disable any account (revoke the shared gaming rights), simply select Authorized (Revoke) in the Sharing Status column .
While sharing games on Steam brings a lot of benefits, it does not exclude that those who are shared will affect you or your game account. So it's best to consider before doing this to people who aren't really reliable.
