Zalo allows users to backup messages, help protect data, chat content, even the pictures sent and received with just a few simple steps. You can even set Zalo to automatically back up messages. So you can easily recover messages whenever you need them.
Zalo for Android
The feature to backup and restore messages is extremely useful in case you want to transfer your phone, reinstall your old device, and still retain all your messages. Currently, this feature supports both Android and iOS platforms. If you are using an iPhone you can refer to here:
How to backup and restore Zalo messages for Android
Step 1: At the main Zalo interface, click the Menu icon in the bottom right corner of the screen, then click the gear icon in the top right corner. When the Settings interface appears, tap Backup and restore messages.
Step 2: Here, will show you the date the last backup was on, on which device with the total capacity. When clicking Backup will appear confirmation dialog box overwrites the old backup, click Confirm , the old backup will no longer. At this time, a message about backing up the message will succeed, and ask if you want to back up photos to Google Drive .
Step 3: Or when you want to back up your photos, just click on Google Drive Account in the Backup photos section , select the existing account or add a new account and click OK. If you want to activate the automatic backup mode, just slide the slider in Auto Backup to the right, select a schedule such as: Daily, weekly, monthly. Then choose WiFi or 3G connection.
Step 4: If you want to restore the message to the latest backup time, click the Restore message button . Then click on the Recover messages button , then wait a while for the message recovery process to complete. After restoring the message, a dialog box appears asking you to restart Zalo to update the changes, click Continue is done.
Note: Restoring only backed up messages, with messages that have not been backed up yet, cannot be restored.
