How to Access iPhone Files on PC via USB: Fast & Easy Way
For iPhone users, when a significant amount of important data is stored on your phone, you may need to access your iPhone data on your computer for various reasons.
You can’t enjoy the free streaming service called Pluto TV to the max if you don’t have all the necessary features.
These features may include an evening off, a great TV show, and some popcorn! But there’s something even more essential if the show you’re watching is in a language you don’t speak. That’s right – subtitles.
The situation could be quite the opposite – you may find the subtitles annoying, so you want to turn them off. Here’s how to perform both of these tasks.
Enabling and Disabling the Captions
Pluto TV is available for a number of devices, and you probably have at least one of them in your home. You can stream Pluto TV from a web browser, or desktop apps for Windows and Macs. Note that you can only use these in the U.S. Android and iOS devices also support this TV service and offer two editions: for the U.S. market, and the international one.
If you have a Roku, Chromecast, PlayStation 4, Xbox, an Apple TV, an Amazon Fire TV, or Android TV devices, as well as some other smart TVs, you can also watch Pluto TV. Just bear in mind that you can’t access all the channels from all the devices.
Why are we telling you all of this? Different devices have different settings for apps and programs they use. Therefore, the way you access caption settings depends on the device you have. Here are the instructions for the most commonly used.
On a Web Browser
Enabling subtitles is really simple on a web browser. All you need to do is pull up the Pluto TV website and follow these steps:
If You Have an Android Device
Before you get started, go to Settings and open Accessibility. You should see Captions somewhere in this menu, so tap to open and enable them. You will also be able to choose the language you want the device to display the captions in, the text size, and the caption style.
Once you’ve done this, proceed to enabling the captions within the Pluto TV app, which is extremely easy and done in a few steps:
If you’re already seeing the captions and you want to turn them off, tap Disabled instead.
If You Have a Roku TV
The easiest way to enable or disable the captions on a Roku TV is by pressing the Star button on your remote. This will open the Options menu, so you need to do the following:
If you’re an iOS User
For iOS devices, this is how you turn the captioning on or off (the steps are similar to the ones for Android):
Now you’re ready to launch the Pluto TV app by simply tapping on the screen and selecting the CC icon. Choose the preferred language, or disable the captions if they’re already appearing on the screen, according to your liking.
If You Have an Amazon TV
The caption settings may not be exactly the same on each TV model, but you should be able to find them after you go to Settings, then choose Accessibility, and then Captions to enable or disable them.
When you open Pluto TV, you’ll need your remote to enable the captions in the app. Press the Menu button and tap a language in which you want the captions to show. If you’re no longer interested in seeing captions, just choose the Disabled option.
Frequently Asked Questions
I tried to turn the subtitles off, but they’re still playing. What can I do?
If you’ve tapped the ‘CC’ option and the subtitles remain; it’s likely because the subtitles are actually enabled on the device you’re using rather than within the Pluto TV app.
So, if you’re using a Roku, Firestick, Smart TV, or another device, click the button on your remote that brings you to the Options or Settings screen. Unfortunately, devices vary but for the majority of them, this is where you will find the subtitles. If closed captioning is on, toggle it off.
If, for some reason it isn’t your device, close the Pluto TV app and relaunch it. Assuming you’re having the issue on your mobile device you can attempt to clear the app’s cache in your phone’s settings, or uninstall it and reinstall it.
Can I customize the subtitles on Pluto TV?
Absolutely! When you tap on the ‘CC’ icon a settings cog will appear to the left of it. You can change a number of features. From the background color to the font and more, customizing your subtitles is really simple.
Simple as That
Whatever device you have, the steps are easy to follow, allowing you to watch your free Pluto TV in just a few minutes. Enabling captions gives you access to even more free content, but when you decide to turn them off, it’s just as easy as enabling them.
Your only job is to sit back and relax and enjoy the show.
