How To Change The Volume For Your Android Alarm

Situations like this happen to the best of us. You set the alarm clock on your Android phone to the early morning hours. Half an hour after the specified time, you find yourself just waking up. The alarm didn’t fail to buzz, it just wasn’t loud enough to wake you up.

How To Change The Volume For Your Android Alarm

Adjusting the alarm volume on your Android phone is something you can learn how to do. First-time Android users may struggle with basics like these, but we’re here to help.

Here are the basics of navigating your Android phone’s alarm clock volume settings.

Android Volume Settings

The sound on your Android phone has a few different volume levels: multimedia, ringer, notifications, calls, and alarm. Their number varies by phone model. You can access the settings for each sound type in your phone’s Settings menu and adjust them accordingly. You can adapt your Android phone’s volume by pulling the slider to the wanted intensity.

Volume Button

The quickest way to adjust your Android alarm volume is to press the volume button on the right side of your phone. The pop-up menu will show you sliders for all sound types on the phone, and then you can choose to set the alarm volume.

Here is how to do this step by step.

  1. Press the upper or lower volume button on the right side of your phone.

If for some reason you’re unable to open this pop-up menu, there are alternative ways to access sound settings. The alarm volume slider can be found in the Clock settings and General settings menu.

Sound and Vibration Settings

You can access alarm clock volume via the Sound and vibration tab in the General settings menu. This tab allows you to customize sound options on the phone, including adjusting the alarm volume.
