Everything you need to know about Windows 10 Notification Center
Microsoft has just released a new update for the Windows 10 beta with more than 7,000 additional changes. One of them is the Action Center.
Announcement was part of the Windows operating system in the past, but it's not very flexible. With Windows 10, Microsoft has refined them even further so that you can see all the notifications you receive in a single pop-up panel. Notifications can be turned off per app, or you can turn off all notifications at a given time. In addition, the notification also features interactive features, if you save a new file, or download an application, when you click the complete notification, this action will open the file, or launch the application .
Notification center can be accessed from two different places, the charms bar and taskbar. When accessed from the charms bar, it does not open the full notification panel. And you can only turn off notifications for 1, 3, or 8 hours. To do so, from the notification center icon on the taskbar, right-click on it, choose Hide notifications for and choose one of the three options.
When there is a new notification, the Notification Center icon on the Taskbar is highlighted in blue and a small star badge. Clicking on the icon will open the notification panel and this highlight is also automatically lost. When there are no new notifications, the icons on the Taskbar look like a simple rectangle. Notification Center will list notifications in chronological order.
Unfortunately, however, users cannot perform interactions with the application from the notification center yet, for example, they cannot reply to messages or receive Skype calls directly in this area. Perhaps Microsoft will fix this in the official version of Windows 10 that will launch next year.
