Method 1: Disabling Avast Completely (All Shields)

Step 1: At first, look for the orange Avast icon on the taskbar on your desktop. If you don’t see it, click on the top arrow on the taskbar. Step 3: After disabling the shield, the switch will change to “OFF.” Also, in the main window, a message “Field Shield is now off” will appear in yellow. For enabling the shield again, click on the button “Turn on” in green color, and the message which says “You are protected” will appear in the main window.

Method 3: Uninstalling Avast Antivirus Permanently

Thus, if you are not able to solve the problem, then the last option is to uninstall Avast Antivirus entirely from your system. Although it is discouraged because Avast Antivirus software is one of the best free software available.

For uninstalling the Avast completely, follow the below steps:

Step 1: Search for Avast antivirus in the list of all programs installed on the system in the Apps and Features section. Then, left-click it and choose “Uninstall.”

Step 2: Open the Avast Setup window, then click on the “Uninstall” button in orange color.

Step 3: Now, you need to confirm the uninstallation process. A pop-up will appear and now click on “Yes” if you want to continue uninstallation.

Step 4: Then, confirm the uninstallation again. Thus, if you want to continue uninstallation, click on the “Uninstall Avast” button. Also, if you will click on the “Renew your Avast Free Antivirus” option, then you be registered for one year.
