The best Discord tips & tricks for everyone
Discord has become one of the top communication platforms on the web. The more you know about Discord, the more you will use it. Here are Discord tips & tricks that are useful to everyone.
Initially , Discord was started as a gaming service, but thanks to its impressive list of features, it has become a useful tool in many other areas. Currently, Discord is popular with both business users and virtual currency investors.
Discord is available with some other popular applications. You just need to turn on the connections to enjoy the benefits from them.
Discord supports a total of 11 different applications, including Twitch , YouTube , Blizzard Entertainment, Skype , League of Legends, Steam, Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, Spotify, Xbox Live.
Each built-in application has different features. However, they all provide a way to synchronize data directly from the app linked to the Discord server.

2. Control Discord notifications
If you are a member of a lot of Discord servers, the easy notification part can get you out of control. Opening Discord and finding thousands of unread messages scary is not it? You cannot analyze such a huge amount of information at once.
Fortunately, Discord gives you strict control over notifications. You can edit the level configuration: server, channel and users.
To edit general notification settings (for example, unread message labels and messages), go to User Settings> Notifications . If you want to disable notifications of all servers, right-click on the server icon and select Server Mute .
Finally, if you only want to turn off notifications for a certain channel, right-click on the channel name and select Mute [Channel Name] .
3. Use the server directory in Discord
In July 2019, Discord added server directory support - a feature most users have long been expecting. By using the server directory, you can organize the server list on the left hand side of the screen into more manageable groups. For those of you who are members of dozens of different groups, these directories also make the application easier to use.
To create a new server directory, drag an icon server above the other server icons. If you right-click on the newly created folder, you can rename, change the color and adjust its other settings.
4. Use Markdown in Discord
Discord allows users to write Markdown to format the message as desired. Markdown is a low-capacity markup language created in 2004. It has many applications, however, it is primarily used to create "rich text" from a plain text editor.

For example, GAwesome Bot can be used to conduct polls and give gifts, GameStats allows you to organize statistics and profiles of gaming friends, even a quiz bot called TriviaBot .
Most of these bots are free to install and use. You will only be able to add new bots to the server being an administrator. However, you are free to add as many bots as you like into your room.
