LARGE, WIDE OR FLAT NOSE MAKEUP

The so-called "wide" or flat nose is modified by applying a darker foundation to the sides of the nose almost to the center, with light movements, blending the product very well and then illuminating the central area , that of the back of the nose, with an illuminant or corrector in a decisive manner.

 

 

 

LONG NOSE MAKE-UP

Correcting the shape of the long nose with make-up is very simple: just darken the tip of the nose with our opaque bronzer, leaving the lateral and back areas free to obtain an optical "shortening" effect.

WRONG NOSE MAKEUP

It is possible to have a crooked nose from birth or following a trauma, or an accident. In these cases  , makeup can go a long way in making the nose look straighter and symmetrical. How to proceed? It is necessary to darken the part that protrudes more with an earth , whether it is the right or the left side. 

If the nose protrudes more to the right you will darken the right side , if it protrudes more to the left you will make the left side dark . To accentuate the effect, you can also light the opposite side. The bridge of the nose should instead be illuminated, following a perfectly vertical line.

 

 

 

 

GREEK NOSE MAKEUP

The Greek nose does not have a pronounced hollow because the back of the nose continues directly with the forehead and the nose-frontal notch is missing, so to make it more harmonious it is possible to darken the junction area between nose and forehead by blending well the chosen product.

MAKEUP FOR AQUILINO NOSE AND HUNCHBACK NOSE

The aquiline nose is characterized by a small hump on the back of the nose: to camouflage it it is necessary to act with the bronzer on this area, instead illuminating the upper part, towards the space between the eyebrows and the tip of the nose, to give harmony to the face.

 

 

 

 

CAMOUFLAGE THE NOSE INSUFFED

The upturned nose is cute, but for many it can be a problem. To camouflage this shape with make-up, you can darken the tip both at the top and bottom, then illuminating the bridge of the nose.

 

 

 

 

HOW TO MAKE A SHORT NOSE OR POTATO NOSE MAKEUP

To slim a short nose it is necessary to darken the nose flaps and the side walls, illuminating the central part of the nose and that of the tip to lengthen the design in a harmonious way.

This is also the ideal trick for those with a potato nose which is usually short and stocky.

 

 

 

 

EXAMPLE OF NOSE CONTOURING FOR LARGE NOSE

Here is a practical example of how to do a “nose contouring” for a wide nose. Let's see the before and after in the picture. In the second photo, a dark foundation was applied to the sides of the nose and the part in the center, along the bridge of the nose, was illuminated. This play of light - dark makes the wide nose appear narrower and more harmonious. 

HOW TO HIDE NOSE DEFECTS IN PHOTOS

If we talk about photographs, in addition to makeup , photoshop can help, but if you are not an expert in graphics and photo editing, our suggestions will be useful.
We give you some tips for photos and selfies if you want to "hide" the defects of your nose.

If you have a very long, very flattened, aquiline nose with a hump or a Greek nose, prefer frontal photos . 

If you have a very wide nose, stand in profile or three-quarter length .

If you have a short nose, tilt your head slightly downwards, your nose will appear optically longer .

If you have a long nose, raise your head slightly, this will create a flattening optical effect that will make your nose appear shorter . 

If you have a short and potato nose, stand in profile. 

If the nose tends slightly to one side or is asymmetrical, put it in three quarters.  

NOSE PLASTIC, RHINOPLASTIC

In the most extreme cases , if you can't feel good about yourself and accept your nose, there is always cosmetic surgery . Rhinoplasty is the surgery that allows you to reshape the nose. This operation modifies the external structural shape, which can be performed both for aesthetic reasons and to correct functional aspects related to respiratory disorders.

Rhinoplasty is one of the most practiced surgeries and, compared to the past, today there are many competent structures and doctors able to do excellent jobs. The duration of the intervention varies from 10 to 40 minutes, depending on the technique used. We speak of rhinoseptoplasty when the purpose of the intervention is not only aesthetic but also involves an alteration of the nasal septum, due to trauma or abnormal development.

DIY SOLUTIONS TO AVOID

Instead, be wary of tools that are often seen for sale online and through advertisements on social networks that promise to "fix" your nose by simply wearing them. They are generally scams , a nose cannot be shortened or streamlined with simple pressure or with accessories that crush it! To really change the shape of your nose, the only solution is an aesthetic intervention.

Always remember that small flaws can be easily hidden with make-up and that often what we insist on seeing as a flaw, others don't even notice ! 😉
