How to Add Channels to Pluto TV

Unfortunately, while Pluto TV offers a vast number of channels to watch, there is no way for a user to add a channel to their viewing list. Pluto TV doesn’t have additional subscription methods that allow for more channel options.

When you go to your Pluto TV, whether on your browser, mobile device, smart TV, or streaming device, clicking the Live TV option will bring you the channel list. While this list is expansive, you can only filter it by genre.

Pluto TV has a substantial amount of new content to watch, especially news channels.

In that regard, Pluto TV is like a cable service, but with a fixed package. You’re stuck with their basic channel library, but there’s still plenty of channels to watch for free.

How to Add Local Channels to Pluto TV

While Pluto TV works similarly to a cable TV service online, it has a smaller number of local channels to choose from. These work in only specific areas and cities and are mostly local CBS news channels.

You will have much better luck hooking up your Roku TV with local channels than adding them to Pluto TV. Users were previously able to see local channels on their Roku TV, integrated with other live TV channels and services, but this feature has been removed.

If you want to get some local channels on Pluto TV regardless of your region, you’ll need to use a VPN. With a VPN service, you’ll be able to set your location to the intended region and hopefully trick Pluto TV’s channel guide into providing you with local channels for that region, if they exist.

How to Add Favorite Channels on Pluto TV

While you can’t add channels to Pluto TV, you have access to some basic customization options on the channel list. All you have to do to get these customization options is to make a free account on Pluto TV.

Once you’ve made an account and logged in to Pluto TV from your device, follow these steps:

1. Go to MyPluto.
   
2. Select Edit Channels.
   
3. Click the heart next to the channel you want to set as your favorite.
   
4. Optional: To make searching through the expansive channel list easier, use the filtering feature. You can immediately jump to a particular category of live TV channels, such as news, entertainment, classic TV, or movies.
   

Alternatively, you can click on the eye next to the channel to hide it from your watch list. If the heart is red, it means the channel is already marked as a favorite. You can’t favorite a hidden channel or vice versa.

Does Pluto TV Have Adult Channels?

While Pluto TV has an expansive library of channels to choose from, there are no adult channels in its lineup. The closest you’ll get is the THC channel (aptly put as channel 420), for some marijuana-laden content. However, we’re sorry to disappoint, as some nudity on the THC channel is the closest you’ll get to actual adult content, and the THC channel itself has changed to Funny AF in late 2020.

What New Channels Are Coming to Pluto TV?

Pluto TV is always expanding its channel repertoire to serve a more varied userbase. On November 24th, Pluto TV is adding six more channels with popular old TV shows.

These include:

• Happy Days, the channel that will bring you three classic sitcoms: Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, and Mork & Mindy.

• Wings, a 24/7 rebroadcast of the eponymous TV sitcom.

• Family Ties, a hugely popular sitcom of the 80s, broadcast exclusively on the channel.

• The Love Boat, a channel focused solely on the sailing adventures of the crew of S.S. Pacific Princess.

• Beverly Hillbillies, a channel dedicated to the 60s TV show that the newer generation might not even know about.

• Mission: Impossible, starring the 60s spy thriller classic all day and night.

Does Pluto TV have ESPN?

Unfortunately, Pluto TV doesn’t have ESPN coverage. Overall, Pluto TV lacks sports channel service, and the sports channels they offer usually rebroadcast older matches.
