How to Fix Windows 10 Mic Not Working

Make sure to create a restore point just in case something goes wrong.

Method 1: Enable Microphone

1. Right-click on the Volume icon on the system tray and select Recording Devices.

Note: With the Windows 10 new updates, you need to right-click on the Volume icon, select Sounds, and switch to the recording tab.

2. Again right-click in an empty area inside the Recording Devices window and then select Show disconnected devices and Show disabled devices.

3. Right-click on the Microphone and select Enable.
