Pupa Im Loveproof liquid lipsticks: review and photos

For kiss-proof lips, Pupa launches I'm Loveproof , a line of new matte liquid lipsticks available in twelve extremely long- lasting shades.

After trying 8 of the shades in the range, I will describe them in detail, to make you better discover the lipsticks with photos , swatches , opinions and useful tips !

I'M LOVEPROOF PUPA LIQUID LIQUID LIPSTICKS

The new Pupa liquid lipsticks are offered in 12 colors , ranging from nude tones to more vibrant and bright ones, perfect both for those who love natural makeup and for those who prefer looks with the lips in the foreground.

The formula , dermatologically tested and paraben free, is characterized by a high concentration of pigments and lacquers , for a full and homogeneous color to the first pass. The mirrored silver packaging is decorated with a small symbol of female lips, from which the color of the lipstick can be seen.

TEXTURE AND COLORS AVAILABLE

The texture  of the new Pupa matte liquid lipsticks is  light and creamy : it wraps the lips with a thin film with a matte finish , which sets immediately and lasts long. The tapered shape applicator allows a precise application and a homogeneous color release on all lips, which are perfect and defined at the first stroke. The color range includes 12 shades , with shades ranging from nude to different shades of red. All lipsticks have an absolute matte finish and a light vanilla fragrance , which makes them irresistible for those who love sweet scents!

Here is the description of the eight tested lipsticks , with some tips on use:

001 Light Rose , warm pink light nude. Perfect for every day, especially for the business context, it is a color that is good for all skin tones . The texture is very light, more liquid than that of other lipsticks, and caresses the lips by dressing them with a full and impalpable color film. It goes perfectly with any type of eye look, from the simplest to the most elaborate.

003 Rose Nude , medium pink nude. It's my favorite color: it darkens slightly on the lips , but manages to bring out my complexion, making my face brighter. I like to wear it both in the office and in the evening, especially if I have to go out for a dinner or an aperitif: it lasts very long and resists food and drinks well, without drooling or ruining too much. If you have dry lips, I recommend that you apply a light layer of lip oil (dabbing the excess) before applying it.

006 Vintage Rose , dark brown nude with a hint of mauve. At first glance it was what I liked best, but it tends to oxidize very quickly when dry and becomes darker than it seems from swatches on leather. However, it is a nice dark nude, ideal to wear every day : it tends to dry the lips a little, so I suggest you apply a balm or lip balm before applying it.

007 Bright Fuchsia , hot bright fuchsia pink. One of my favorite colors to show off in the summer, I like to wear it in the cold season to give a touch of color to dark and monochromatic outfits. It does not dry the lips, it sets immediately and is like having nothing on. If you want to give a twist to your autumn makeup, try combining it with an eye make-up with blue eyeliner !

008 Flamingo Fuchsia , medium cold fuchsia pink. Beautiful to wear with a total black outfit , it manages to give brightness to complexions with neutral or cold undertones. Comfortable and long-lasting, it has a very light texture , more impalpable than other colors. At the first pass, the color is not very full: a second layer must be applied quickly for an impeccable result.

009 Red Pop , warm bright red. Suitable for complexions with yellow undertones or dark complexions , it does not highlight those who, like me, have light skin with neutral undertones. It is very soft and light on the lips, but tends to slightly highlight the cuticles.

011 Kiss Me Red , pure red with blue undertone. Intense, super-opaque and homogeneous from the first draft, this red liquid lipstick is very comfortable and has an enviable hold . Perfect for a business appointment or a special event, because it does not fade and does not dry out even after several hours and after drinking.

012 Red Burgundy , intense burgundy. It is the classic dark red lipstick to show off in the evening , especially in autumn and winter, and it goes very well with light complexions . As often happens with dark lipsticks, it must be applied carefully: on a first pass it is not very homogeneous and must be touched up quickly before it dries.

OPINIONS LIPSTICKS PUPA I'M LOVEPROOF

Having dry lips , I often struggle to find liquid rosettes that do not accentuate this characteristic and are comfortable for a long time. I usually solve the problem by applying a lip serum or a few drops of oil before applying them . With some of the colors of Pupa's I'm Loveproof I found myself very well: for example, Kiss Me Red has an enviable hold and comfort .

Not all shades convinced me. For example, Red Burgundy is not very homogeneous in a first coat and is difficult to touch up and make it perfect before it dries, while Vintage Rose darkens a lot and dries quickly . Overall, I find Pupa I'm Loveproof lipsticks to be good liquid lipsticks, but I recommend that you try them out before buying one, so you can see how the formula reacts on your lips.
