NASA changes the birth dates of the 12 zodiac signs, 86% of people have their constellations changed

What is the new zodiac ? Are there actually 12 new zodiac signs ? This article will give you the answer.

A new story about an old misunderstanding is once again circulating—and NASA is once again clearing things up.

It all started with a rehashed story that NASA had “discovered” a 13th zodiac sign—Ophiuchus, or the serpent bearer. Anyone born between November 29 and December 17 would no longer be a Scorpio or a Sagittarius, but an Ophiuchus. The Scorpio window would be shortened to just seven days, and the entire astrological chart would change, meaning some Pisces, Leos, and Libras would have different zodiac signs. As online astrology enthusiasts began to panic, NASA gently waded into the online fray to clear things up.

“We see your comment about a zodiac story that pops up every few years,” the space agency wrote in a tweet. “No, we don’t change zodiac signs.” It included a link to a Tumblr post explaining what actually happened.

For many people, the Zodiac is one of the most reliable astrological methods based on the relationship between astronomical phenomena and human destiny based on date of birth.

3,000 years ago, the ancient Babylonian civilization invented the concept of 12 zodiac signs , corresponding to 12 constellations. The day a person is born will be under that constellation and it will affect our personality.

NASA 'changes' the birth dates of the 12 zodiac signs, 86% of people have their constellations changed

However, NASA recently stated that astronomy and astrology are two different categories. In addition, the position, size and shape of the 12 constellations have changed, not the same as before. The reason is that the Earth's axis has changed, causing the Spring Equinox to also shift.

And after 3,000 years, the Spring Equinox has now moved from the constellation Aries to the constellation Pisces. Therefore, the zodiac signs today will be more than 1 sign, meaning 1 month, off from the ancient way of calculating the zodiac signs.

NASA says the Babylonians only used 12 constellations to make it easier to calculate with a calendar of 12 months. In reality, our Sun moves through 13 constellations. That means there are 13 zodiac signs. The 13th zodiac sign is called Ophiuchus, which is the constellation of Ophiuchus.

The new order of the 13 zodiac signs, corresponding to the date of birth according to NASA's new concept, is as follows:

  • Capricorn - Capricorn: January 20 - February 16.
  • Aquarius - Aquarius: February 16 - March 11.
  • Pisces - Pisces: March 11 - April 18.
  • Aries - Aries: April 18 - May 13.
  • Taurus - Taurus: May 13 - June 21.
  • Gemini - Gemini: June 21 - July 20.
  • Cancer: July 20 - August 10.
  • Leo: August 10 - September 16.
  • Virgo: September 16 - October 30.
  • Libra - Libra: October 30 - November 23.
  • Scorpio - Scorpio: November 23 - November 29.
  • Ophiuchus - Ophiuchus: November 29 - December 17.
  • Sagittarius - Sagittarius: December 17 - January 20.

NASA says they are not changing the zodiac, they are simply doing math. Their mission is to study astronomy, to come up with numbers for today, not astrology, a relic of ancient civilizations.

In short, Astronomy and Astrology are two different categories and the 13 zodiac signs are just a NASA concept. So you can believe it or not, it's okay.
