How to center in Excel using Format Cells
Step 1:
First, you enter data into Excel and insert the necessary content for the data table as usual. Next, we highlight the content that needs to be centered, then right-click on the content in the cell and select Format Cells in the displayed list.

Step 2:
Displays the interface to adjust the content in this Excel cell. Click the Alignment tab to adjust.
Step 3:
Look down below in the Horizontal section , we click on the drop-down icon and select Center Across Selection to adjust.

Next, in the Vertica section, we click on Center to adjust the display content.
Finally, when you have finished adjusting the above two items, click OK to apply to the displayed content.

The result is centered content in Excel cells without us having to perform cell merging.

Step 1:
In the content in Excel you want to center, we highlight that content. Next, you look up at the Alignment group toolbar to adjust the display position for the content.

Step 2:
Next, we click on the Middle Align and Center icons as shown below to center the cell content in Excel.

In addition, to center the cell horizontally, right-click on the cell to be aligned and then click the center icon horizontally as shown below.

Use centering shortcut in Excel
You also need to highlight the content that needs to be aligned, then press the key combination You will press the ALT key then press the key combination A, H, C to center the content. However, these shortcuts are quite difficult to remember and need to be pressed correctly.
Fix why centering is not possible in Excel
When you cannot center in Excel, the main reason is that the data format in the area you want to center is not consistent. Therefore, you need to check the format again, then convert all the content to the same format. You click on the content, then click on the format box as shown, then convert to the same format for the data.
