How to Make a GIF in Picsart on the iPhone
Say that you took a hilarious picture of your dog. Or maybe your cat did something funny, and you had to snap a photo. No matter the reason, knowing how to make a GIF out of an image can make it even funnier.
If you’re an iPhone user, the first thing you need to do is download the Picsart app if you haven’t already done so. The app is free of charge and can be found in the app store on your iPhone.
Users are given the option of subscribing to a Gold account for $48 a year. However, a version with limited functions is also available for free. You’ll be offered a free trial using the Gold standard version when you first download the app.
Once your Picsart app is downloaded and ready to go, follow these steps towards creating your first GIF:
- Allow your camera album to synch with the Picsart, then select the picture you wish to edit.
- Once your selected photo is open, you’ll notice a host of icons along the bottom. These are your editing tools.
- Using the tools given to you, edit the photo as needed and click “Apply.”
- Tap “Save” then “Download Photo.” This will automatically save it into your camera roll.
- Head back to the image you’ve edited in Picsart, and you’ll need to edit it again but slightly differently. Repeat the same process as before.
- On the bottom-right corner, tap on the icon that looks like three pages on top of each other. This will allow you to layer the previous edits you have created. Remember to layer the photos on top of each other in the same order that you made them in for flow.
- Once you’ve layered up your photos, tap the recording tool on the top-right of your screen.
- Begin to open and close all of your layers in the sidebar in the order you made them.
- When finished, tap the recording icon again and hit “Export GIF.” You can then click on the GIF to set the speed.
