1. Launch the iTunes app.
   
2. From the top left pop-up menu, select “Music,” then “Library.”

   • Select “Album Info” > “Edit” > “Artwork.” Then either,

To change a playlists artwork:

1. From the left sidebar, select “Songs.”
   
2. Select the song with the missing artwork then, “Info” > “Artwork.”

   • Perform a Google search for the song artwork e.g. [Artist] single cover and drag the single cover image into the artwork area.

Why Is the Album Artwork Grayed Out in iTunes?

Has the music downloaded?

If a cloud icon appears to the right of the song or album this suggests that it needs to be downloaded:

1. Right-click on it and select “Download.”

2. When the download is complete, try editing the artwork again using the “Add Artwork” option.

Do you have read and write permissions?

You might not have permission to edit the artwork:

1. Right-click the song or any album track, then select “Show in Finder.”

2. Once opened, right-click and select “Get Info.”

3. Find “Sharing and Permissions” towards the bottom.

4. You will not be able to use the “Add Artwork” feature with “Read Only” permissions.

5. Click on the padlock icon, enter your credentials, then swap the permissions to “Read and Write.”

6. Once finished, select the padlock icon again.

· Now try adding the artwork again.

Also, make sure that the artwork you’re trying to add meets the following requirements:

· The following file formats – JPG, BMP, GIF or PNG

· Maximum resolution of 1024 x 1024.

Can I Make the Album Artwork Show Up Automatically in iTunes?
