How to Delete a Deezer Account on an Android Device

There’s no good reason to keep an app on your phone that you’re no longer using. Deleting an app takes mere seconds, but it’s a better idea to also delete the account. Deleting your Deezer account can be done quickly, and only a computer or the desktop version of your phone’s browser can be used for this. 1. Open the Deezer website in the mobile version of your Android phone’s browser.
   
2. Select “Desktop version” by selecting the “Three dots” symbol in the top right corner.
   
3. If necessary, provide your login credentials.
   
4. Click on your profile icon in the upper right corner and then “Account Settings.”
   
5. Scroll down to the very bottom and select “Delete my account.”
   
6. You’ll be prompted to enter your Deezer password. Type in your password and tap “Delete my account.”
7. Deezer will send you an email to verify the account deletion.
8. Go to the email associated with your Deezer account. Locate and open the email.
9. Click on the link within the email. You’ll be directed back to your Deezer account.
10. Enter your Deezer password and click “Delete my account.”

Please note that you need to tap the link in the email and enter your password again to confirm that you want to delete your account. If you don’t follow this last step, your Deezer account will remain active. After you’ve followed all of the steps, you won’t be able to recover your account. Once deleted, always deleted.

When you delete your Deezer account, all personal data, settings, playlists, and favorite tracks will be permanently deleted.

How to Delete Deezer Account on an iPhone

Simply deleting Deezer from your iPhone will free up space, however, it won’t actually delete your account. Removing the Deezer app from your phone takes a matter seconds, but you may as well follow through and also remove your account. Doing so isn’t time-consuming and the process is straightforward. To delete your account, follow the instructions below:

1. Open the Deezer website in the mobile version of your iPhone’s browser.
   
2. Select “Desktop version” by selecting the “AA” symbol beside the url.
   
3. If prompted, type in your login information.
   
4. In the top right corner of the screen, tap on your profile icon and then “Account Settings.”
5. Click “Delete my account” which is located on the bottom of the screen.
6. Deezer will prompt you to enter your password. Enter it and press “Delete my account.”
7. They will send you an email to verify that you want to delete your account.
8. Go to the email associated with your Deezer account. Locate the email and open it.
9. Tap on the link in the email. It will take you back to your Deezer account.
10. When prompted, type in your Deezer password and tap “Delete my account.”

In order to delete your account, you must click on the link within the validation email you received from Deezer. If not, your account will remain open. Please note that once you follow this final step, the action is irreversible.

Deleting your Deezer account will permanently delete all of your personal data, playlists, settings, and favorites.

I pay for a Deezer premium account. If I delete my account, will I get a refund?

Unfortunately, no. If you delete your account, technically you’ll be able to use its premium functions until the last day of the subscription cycle. Deezer doesn’t issue refunds of any kind.
