Depending on the type of vehicle you choose, Lyft lets you schedule a ride as far as seven days in advance. Not only can you schedule a Lyft ride, but you can also view the list of scheduled rides you have in the Lyft app. This feature can be particularly convenient when you want to see if your Lyft ride has been confirmed, or you need to cancel it.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to view your scheduled rides on the Lyft mobile app. We’ll also cover the process of scheduling and canceling a Lyft ride.
How to View Scheduled Rides in Lyft on the iPhone App
The list of scheduled rides on the Lyft app might not always be available. It mainly depends on your region and the ride mode you have chosen. Only certain types of ride modes are compatible with the scheduling feature (Lux, Lux Black, XL, and Lux Black XL). If you have picked one of these ride modes, and if the schedule feature is available in your region, you’ll be able to use it on the Lyft mobile app.
To view your scheduled rides in Lyft on your iPhone, follow the steps below:
- Launch the Lyft app on your iPhone.
- Go to the calendar icon in the upper-right corner of your screen.
- View the list of your scheduled rides.
For each scheduled ride, you’ll be able to see the exact time and date of the ride, the estimated time of arrival, your destination, and other details. The “Schedule” icon will only appear on your app if you have scheduled a ride. If you don’t have any scheduled rides, or when you’ve used a scheduled ride, it will disappear.
How to View Scheduled Rides in Lyft on the Android App?
To view your list of scheduled rides in Lyft on your Android, follow the steps below:
- Open the Lyft app on your Android.
- Navigate to the calendar icon in the bottom-right corner of your screen.
- View your scheduled rides.
That’s all there is to it. If scheduled rides aren’t available in your region, Lyft will let you know when you try to book one. If you’re not sure if Lyft’s scheduled ride feature is available in your city, you can check here.
How to View Scheduled Rides as a Lyft Driver
When a passenger requests a scheduled Lyft ride, drivers receive a notification on the Lyft app. They can then accept a scheduled ride request, which will let them know the pickup location, the destination, as well as estimated earnings. Prior to the time of the scheduled ride, the driver will receive a notification from Lyft letting them know it’s time to go to the pickup location.
To view scheduled rides as a Lyft driver, follow the steps below:
- Open the Lyft app on your mobile device.
- Go to your profile picture in the upper-left corner of your screen.
- Proceed to the “Scheduled pickups” tab.
- Tap on “My Pickups.”
- View all your scheduled rides.
If you want to add another scheduled ride on the Lyft app, do the following:
- Go back to the “Schedule pickups” tab.
- Go over your list of requests for scheduled rides.
- Tap on the scheduled ride you want to accept.
- Select the “Confirm” to add pickup option.
That’s all you need to do to accept a scheduled ride. When it’s time to go to the pickup destination, you’ll receive a notification from the Lyft app. If you aren’t online when you receive this notification, then the scheduled ride will go to another Lyft driver. This might also happen if you aren’t close enough to the pickup location near the time of the scheduled ride.
If you want to remove a scheduled pickup as a Lyft driver, go back to the “Scheduled pickups” tab. Go to the “My pickups” tab, find the ride that you want to cancel, and tap on the “Cancel pickup” option. Keep in mind that if you cancel a scheduled ride, your acceptance rating won’t be affected.
