How to Calibrate your Monitor Display Color in Windows 10
Although Windows 10 comes with the best configuration for your PC and automatically detects the appropriate display settings, you want to make sure that your monitor display colour is correctly calibrated. The best part is that Windows 10 actually allows you to calibrate your display colour with a special wizard. This display colour calibration wizard tool improves the colours of your photos, videos etc. on your display, and it ensures that the colours appear accurately on your screen.

1. Either you can directly open display colour calibration wizard using the run shortcut or via Windows 10 Settings. Press Windows Key + R then type dccw and hit Enter to open the Display Color Calibration wizard.
2. Press Windows Key + I to open Settings then click on System.
3. From the left-hand menu, select Display in the right window pane click “Advanced display settings” link at the bottom.
4. Under the Monitor Properties window switch to Color Management tab, click on “Color Management“.
5. Now switch to Advanced tab then click “Calibrate display” under Display Calibration.
6. This will open the Display Color Calibration wizard, click Next to start the process.
7. If your display supports reset to factory default, then do that and then click Next to proceed further.
8. On the next screen, review the gamma examples, then click Next.
9. In this setup, you need to adjust the gamma settings by moving the slider up or down until the visibility of small dots in the middle of each circle is minimum, and click Next.
10. Now you need to find the brightness and contrast controls of your display and click Next.
Note: If you’re on a laptop, you won’t have brightness and contrast controls of your display, so click on the Skip brightness and contrast adjustment button.
11. Review the brightness examples carefully as you would need them in the next step and click Next.
12. Adjust the brightness higher or lower as described in the image and click Next.
13. Similarly, review the contrast examples and click Next.
14. Adjust the contrast using the contrast control on your display and set it high enough as described in the image and click Next.
15. Next, review the examples of colour balance carefully and click Next.
16. Now, configure the colour balance by adjusting the red, green, and blue sliders to remove any colour cast from the grey bars and click Next.
17. Finally, to compare the previous colour calibration to the new one, click the Previous calibration or Current calibration button.
18. If you find the new colour calibration good enough, checkmark “Start ClearType Tuner when I click Finish to ensure that text appears correctly box” and click Finish to apply the changes.
19. If you don’t find the new colour configuration up to the mark, click Cancel to revert to the previous one.
