1. Why does your mechanical clock fail fast or slow?

All mechanical watch products have fast or slow failure. The watch works best when it deviates 10 seconds or less per day.

However, there are several reasons that the mechanical clock is running too fast or too slow for normal:

- Due to watch's balance springs encounter magnetic interference , this makes your watch possible to run up to several hours faster per day.

- The watch hand touching the dial creates friction, which makes hand movement unstable, causing the watch to run slower.

2. How to adjust mechanical clocks to run quickly, simply and easily

The following tutorial is for reference only, not recommended for amateurs, not very knowledgeable about watches and who do not have suitable tools.

Step 1 : First thing, keep an eye on how fast and slower your watch is in 3 days .

Step 2 : Unlock the eyelet, leather strap , ... to facilitate adjustment.

Step 3 : Use a watch removal tool (screwdriver, pliers, prying knife, ...) to remove the watch back cover . With metal watches, you will need to use an additional strap removal tool .

Step 4 : Find the spring-loaded pendulum, with automatic watch models, rotate the handwheel until you see them.

Step 5 : On the crane in the spring swing you will see a "+" and "-" sign, find the bar with 2 dots ( or the bar above ). This bar is always on the outside, smaller in size.

Step 6 :

- To make the clock run faster : use a toothpick to gently brush the top bar and rotate it counter-clockwise.

- Make the clock run slower : do the same as above but rotate it clockwise .

Note : Do not adjust the bar with a dot (the bottom bar when the spring wheel position corresponds to the 6 o'clock position) because this is the part that regulates the amount of change of precision, for the manufacturer. New export made .

Step 7 : Use the watch detachment tools to reattach the back cover , you should re-insert it carefully to avoid dust and moisture from the outside environment.

Step 8 : Reattach the strap , reconnect the strap and wear the watch as normal.
