If you have an iPhone, you can use the built-in voicemail feature in the Phone app to set up and record your voicemail. Setting up voicemail on your iPhone can be very useful when you’re too busy to answer a phone call or if you don’t hear your phone ringing. It’s also handy when you get a call from an unknown number.

When you want to check if you have any messages, simply tap on the Phone app and go to the “Voicemail” tab. All the voicemails you’ve received will be listed there. You can also use Siri to play a voicemail recording. Just say, “Hey, Siri. Play the voicemail from John.”

In some regions, iPhones give their users the option to display a voicemail transcription, so you will be able to read the voicemail without actually having to listen to the message. However, this is only available for certain carriers and iOS 10 versions or later.

Some iPhone models have the Visual Voicemail feature, which basically shows you a list of all your voicemail messages. You’ll be able to go through them and decide which messages you want to listen to and which you’ll delete right away.

If you want to change your voicemail password, you’ll have to go to your phone’s settings.
