However, after washing the nose with 2-3 bottles of medicine, the baby started to appear drowsy, pale skin, sweating, cold hands and feet. Soon after, the family took the baby to hospital.

Through examination, doctors found that the breathing rhythm of the patient was irregular, slow heart rate of 70-80 times / minute is suspected due to acute poisoning. When asked what kind of nasal wash the family used, doctors diagnosed children with acute poisoning due to the use of naphazolin nasal drops - a drug absolutely not used for children under 6 years old.
When identifying the cause of the poisoning, the child has been actively treated by doctors, ventilated, infusion, diuretic and closely monitored for signs of survival. After 2 days of treatment, the patient's health got better.
According to the medical literature, naphazolin is a nasal drop that often causes poisoning in children, especially in children under 3 years old. This is a drug that is indicated in the treatment of symptoms such as congestion, runny nose, rhinitis, sinusitis. Because of its fast and effective effect, napholin is widely used by pharmacies.

After a week of intensive treatment by doctors, blood transfusion, infusion, diuretic, the current health of the child is stable.
This is one of the many cases of acute hemolysis due to eating commercial poppy leaves to treat constipation that Khoa has treated.
